Media reported that the UK is preparing a summit on Ukraine

The UK authorities are planning to hold a summit on the situation around Ukraine, Sky News quoted its sources as saying on 20 February.

Preparations for the summit are already under way, but its exact dates have not been set yet.

According to the TV channel, the summit is planned to be held after the talks between Prime Minister Keir Starmer and US President Donald Trump.

Earlier in the day, it was reported that Starmer supported Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky 's reluctance to hold elections in the country, and also expressed support after criticism from Trump.

Before that, on February 18, The Times wrote that the UK may send its Typhoon fighter jets to Ukraine to patrol the country's airspace as part of a post-conflict peacekeeping mission.
