The Russian government is allocating the first tranche of Br40 billion for monthly payments of Br65 thousand to each resident of Kursk region, who lost their property. This was announced by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin at a government meeting on February 20.
"The relevant issue is on the agenda today, we will allocate about Br40 billion for the implementation of these payments, which will be a financial support for more than 100 thousand people," said Mishustin.
The head of the government asked the Ministry of Labor to control the provision of assistance to citizens - all of them should receive the funds in time.
Earlier, February 18, Putin at a meeting with members of the government instructed to pay Br65 thousand each month to the residents of Kursk region, who lost their homes, until the region is completely liberated. Funds will be transferred to all citizens regardless of their age or the availability and size of income. In addition, other benefits will not be deducted from this amount.
Before that, in December 2024, Putin said during the "Results of the year" that all facilities, housing and infrastructure in the region will be restored. The head of state assured that the Kursk region will repair the road network, utility infrastructure, social facilities, housing and much more. In addition, residents will be given certificates to rebuild their homes.
