Media reported Trump's displeasure over Ukraine's unwillingness to compromise

US President Donald Trump is unhappy with Ukraine 's unwillingness to compromise and its resistance to the "reasonable demands" that Washington has put forward to implement $75 billion worth of military aid deliveries, NBC News reported on February 20, citing sources.
"It's a disappointment," a White House spokesman said, accusing Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and some other European leaders of trying to "denigrate" Trump's peace efforts.
The American leader was also angered by Ukraine's public complaints that it was excluded from the negotiations between the United States and Russia to end the armed conflict.
As noted in the material, tensions between the Trump administration and the Ukrainian government have been escalating over the past week.
Ukrainian officials became concerned when Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth told them in a closed-door meeting that the US could withdraw a significant portion of its troops from Europe.
Thetalks between delegations from Russia and the United States took place at a royal palace in Riyadh on Feb. 18. After the meeting, the US State Department said that US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov had agreed to appoint high-level negotiating teams to start working on the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict.
