Sobyanin told about a unique rehabilitation center for servicemen in Moscow

Moscow has created the country's largest Center for Prosthetics and Complex Rehabilitation for the participants of SWO on the basis of the Voronovskoye IMCC. The entire system is built on a closed cycle: from surgical assistance to social adaptation, said the mayor of the capital Sergey Sobyanin in his official Telegram channel. On February 20, he visited the facility with Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova and Deputy Defense Minister Anna Tsivileva.

A personal doctor is assigned to each patient at the center. A multidisciplinary team works at the center: experienced surgeons, neurosurgeons, orthopedic traumatologists, rehabilitation specialists, prosthetists and psychologists. The doctors have at their disposal modern equipment for high-tech care, including operating rooms with mobile CT scanners, microscopes for neurosurgery and postoperative compression therapy systems.

Upon admission, each patient is given a comprehensive medical examination and then an individualized treatment plan is developed.

All care is provided in one place without the need to transfer the patient to other institutions. Voronovsky has its own production facilities, including impression workshops, plaster modeling, mechanical and thermovacuum processing, lamination and assembly of prostheses. The prosthetics time is minimized and ranges from 4 to 12 weeks.

Here the servicemen are also trained in the use of prostheses. Special zones simulating everyday conditions have been created for them, and for those who need it, they are trained to drive a car and to move safely in the urban environment.

In addition, the One-Stop Support Center in Beregovy Proezd in Moscow continues to operate. Participants and their relatives receive comprehensive assistance: legal, social, and psychological. In addition, the center helps with retraining, employment, rehabilitation and prosthetics.
