Russians were told about a new scheme of fraud with "Russian Post"

Attackers call Russians and introduce themselves as employees of the Russian Post. This was reported by TASS on February 20.

Fraudsters call on WhatsApp (owned by Meta, which is recognized as extremist and banned in Russia) on behalf of an employee of "Russian Post", who offers the potential victim in person or electronically to receive a registered letter that allegedly came in her name.

As it is specified in the material of the agency, in case of choosing the second option, the attackers can name the correct e-mail of the person and continue the deception or offer to use some kind of "chat-bot".

In "Russian Post" reminded that the company never calls customers and does not ask for codes from sms.
