- The Council of the Russian Federation said about prerequisites in the U.S. to stop funding Ukraine

US President Donald Trump is considering the possibility of completely cutting off funding for Ukraine. Alexei Pushkov, head of the Federation Council's Commission on Information Policy Alexei Pushkov expressed such an opinion on February 20.
"As far as we can understand, Trump is preparing a complete cessation of all financing of Ukraine or at least considering such a step," Pushkov wrote in his Telegram channel.
In his opinion, an unpleasant "corruption component" has emerged for Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
He also pointed to statements by US businessman and head of the Department of Government Effectiveness (DOGE) Ilon Musk that some US officials received kickbacks for Kiev funding. According to his assumptions, Musk's department is preparing to expose these incidents.
Earlier in the day, Trump said that Zelensky had "done a terrible job", which resulted in the destruction of his country and the deaths of "millions of people" in vain. The American leader added that the Ukrainian President is not interested in ending the conflict and wants "easy money to keep coming"
The day before, on February 19, Trump said that Kiev could not account for where it spent the funds handed over by Washington. He added that he was concerned about the issue.
