The State Duma told about plans to fight fraudsters at the legislative level

The bill to protect Russians from fraudsters has already been submitted to the State Duma, one of the main points should be the work with the actions of banks and credit organizations. This was told on February 19 by the Deputy of the lower house of Parliament Alexander Yushchenko.

"Now there are active discussions, we will discuss what specifically needs to be strengthened. This is the subject of consideration of the professional community. It is necessary to make it so that the new measures simultaneously protected Russians and were convenient," - explained the politician in a conversation with Lenta.Ru.

According to the MP, special attention should be paid to the actions of banks and credit organizations in terms of the spread of cheap and fast loans, as attackers often use this very opportunity.

"Fraudulent actions will always be ahead of the legislative framework, so it is important to accumulate all the ideas and put into legislative acts," - concluded the MP.

Earlier, on February 19, the head of the Bank of Russia (Central Bank) Elvira Nabiullina stated the need for coordinated measures to protect against fraudsters, RT reported. She noted that attackers have become more likely to withdraw stolen money in cash via couriers amid rising prices on the black market for dropper cards.

According to the head of the Central Bank, the cost of a dropper card on the black market has risen from Br10-15 thousand to Br70 thousand, reported on aif.ru.

On the same day, the head of the Ministry of digitization Maksut Shadaev highlighted the main trends in cyber fraudsters by the end of 2024, reports NSN. In the first place he put the mass use of dipfeiks by attackers, in the second place - attempts to seize the account of users on the portal "Gosusluzhi".

He said that on "Gosuslugi" in April a new service will appear, with the help of which it will be possible to check the issued SIM cards and find out whether they are not used by fraudsters, reports 360.ru.
