The perpetrator of a road accident involving three pedestrian girls is awaiting trial in the Lipetsk Region

In the Lipetsk region, the case file on a high-profile traffic accident that injured three girls has been submitted to the court. A 22-year-old man was found guilty of the accident.

He will be tried for violation of traffic rules, resulting in negligent infliction of serious harm to health. The session on the case will be held in Terbunsky district court on February 25, specifies GOROD48.

The accident occurred on November 7, 2024 at a crosswalk over Oktyabrskaya Street in Terbuny village. The driver of VAZ-2106 hit three girls of 11, 14 and 15 years old. They were hospitalized with various injuries. The driver did not escape from the scene. Examination showed that at the time of the accident he was sober.

The accident was caught on CCTV cameras. It is seen that the accident occurred on the "zebra". One of them, the youngest, was seriously injured.

Earlier, on February 12, it was reported that the Sovetsko-Gavansk city court passed a sentence on a 72-year-old resident of the village of Zavety Ilyich, who was found guilty of a traffic accident with two injured children. He was found guilty under the article "Violation of traffic rules, resulting in negligent infliction of serious harm to human health". The driver pleaded guilty. The court, taking into account mitigating circumstances, sentenced him to one year of restriction of freedom with deprivation of rights for two years. In addition, the man must pay about 1.3 million rubles to the victims as compensation for moral and material damage.
