- Izvestia correspondent shows humanitarian workers working with residents in Kurakhovo

There are at least a thousand people in the humanitarian center in Kurakhovo. One of the pensioners brought here was discovered by Russian military personnel. The woman was hiding in a cellar, not knowing that the town had been liberated. The paramedics warmed her up and gave her all the help she needed.
Izvestia military correspondent Stanislav Grigoryev showed the work of humanitarian workers with residents of liberated Kurakhovo in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR).
Residents of neighboring settlements are also arriving at the center. One of the refugees managed to take only the most important things - a cat and a guinea pig. According to her, she is a pure-blooded Russian and would never go to Ukraine. Those who stayed to wait for the Russian Armed Forces were called "waiters" and threatened to kill them.
Ekaterina Mezinova, head of the Dobryi Angel Foundation, said that while in 2014 people were afraid of large-caliber weapons, now things are more complicated. According to her, FPV drones and other drones are now flying in the sky.
Also, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) are attacking humanitarian workers and civilians. Mezinova added that in 2024, an enemy drone killed a boy on his birthday at one of the New Year's Eve events with Santa Claus near Kherson.
In addition, Grigoriev noted that there are extremely many drones in Kurakhovo - he showed one of such devices, which was shot down by a Russian fighter.
Earlier, on January 27, volunteers of the "Popular Front" delivered humanitarian aid to Kurakhovo. It was noted, about 100 food packages, six heating guns, as well as six generators were delivered. It was specified that the front line was only 10 km away from the liberated city.
