A criminal case has been opened after a hard landing of an airplane in Nizhny Novgorod region

A criminal case was initiated after a hard landing of a light-engine airplane in Nizhny Novgorod region. This is reported by the Volga Transport Prosecutor's Office in Telegram-channel on February 20.

"A criminal case has been opened in the Nizhny Novgorod region on the circumstances of a hard landing of a light-engine airplane near the village of Novolikeevo," the statement said.

At the moment the case is being investigated under part 3 of article 263 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of the rules of safety of movement and operation of air transport").

Earlier in the day it became known that a light-engine airplane RV-7 fell in the Nizhny Novgorod region. There were two people on board, they died. It was specified that six specialists and two units of equipment are working at the scene.
