Russia has been conducting a special military operation to protect civilians in Donbas since February 24, 2022. You can track the progress of the joint troops of Russia, the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics (DNR and LNR), as well as see a map of military operations for February 20 in the Izvestiya piece.

According to the Defense Ministry, at night the Russian army launched a group strike with long-range air, sea and land-based precision weapons, as well as unmanned aerial vehicles against the energy infrastructure facilities that support the Ukrainian military-industrial complex. All the facilities were hit.

The units of the Center Group of Forces improved their position along the front line. In this direction, the enemy lost up to 280 troops, five tanks, four armored combat vehicles, including two M113 armored personnel carriers, three vehicles and eight field artillery guns, including a 155mm M777 howitzer.

Russian forces also hit the infrastructure of military airfields, ammunition depots, unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) training and launch sites, as well as concentrations of Ukrainian army manpower and equipment in 163 areas.

Air defense assets shot down a MiG-29 aircraft, four Hammer bombs, five HIMARS multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) shells and 112 enemy drones during the day.

In total, 655 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 44,007 UAVs, 594 anti-aircraft missile systems, 21,534 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,518 MLRS combat vehicles, 21,883 field artillery and mortar guns, and 31,846 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed since the beginning of the special military operation
