The Russian Field Festival will be held for the first time in Victory Park

The XIV Interregional Creative Festival of Slavic Art "Russian Field" will be held in Moscow on August 9 and will delight visitors with original ideas that will complement the activities that have already become customary over the course of the holiday. New thematic and interactive platforms will be added to the favorite sites, the number of nominations of the creative competition will increase, and the festival itself will be held for the first time on Poklonnaya Hill.
The largest folklore event of the capital will once again unite people who are fascinated by the history of Russia, its culture, traditions and folk crafts. National costume and Russian cuisine, poetry and music, dance and crafts, military service and peculiarities of family life will be presented at 12 festival sites.
The program of "Russian Field" will reflect important dates and themes for the country. The festival will begin with a prayer service in the Church of St. George the Victorious, next to which will be located the site "Slavic Sloboda". This year it will be dedicated to the 1135th anniversary of the birth of Princess Olga and the 665th anniversary of the icon painter Andrei Rublev. On the "Poetic Frontier" platform there will be a patriotic poetry contest "About the Victory, about the Motherland, about the Glory", singing the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory. The most important place will be given to the same event at the "Field of Glory" site (there will be a historical reconstruction, a brass band contest and the "Victory Ball").
"The festival "Russian Field" has long become not just a celebration of folk art, but a real platform for the preservation, study and transmission of cultural heritage to future generations. In the year of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory we pay special attention to the patriotic theme, because the memory of the heroic feat of our people must remain alive. This year the festival will be held for the first time on Poklonnaya Hill, a place that symbolizes the strength of spirit, courage and unity of our country. Here everyone will be able not only to see, but also to feel the connection of times - from folk crafts and traditional music to historical reenactments dedicated to the exploits of our ancestors. I am sure that every guest will find here something important and close to him/herself", - says Vitaly Suchkov, Head of the Department of National Policy and Interregional Relations of Moscow.
Much attention will be paid to the musical program of the festival. The "Musical Square" will host concerts of the best creative regional collectives, chorus performances of Russian pop stars. Traditionally, the Great Consolidated Russian Choir will perform favorite works with famous artists. Folk songs and dances will be seen on the "small" stage of the festival - "Musical Zavalinka".
Guests will be able to taste their favorite dishes at the sites "National Kitchen" and "Nourishing Yard", where all the variety of gastronomic traditions from the regions of Russia will be presented. Traditionally, at the "Russian Field", directly in the location "National Kitchen", chefs will try to set a new world record, the details of which the organizing committee of the festival is still a secret.
The new interactive-educational platform "Backyard of Discoveries" will be dedicated to the great events in the world of geography, because in 2025 it will be 325 years since the birth of the Russian polar explorer S. I. Chelyuskin, 420 years since the birth of the Russian navigator S. I. Dezhnev and 300 years since the beginning of the First Kamchatka expedition. In addition to the exposition there will be exhibitions, lectures, round tables, shows and master classes.
On the map of the festival will also appear "Art-quarter", where guests of the event will be able to visit an interactive multimedia exhibition of great Russian artists, literary and musical lounge in honor of the 130th anniversary of the birth of Sergei Esenin and plein airs "Roads of Victory". An extensive informative and cultural program is prepared at all locations of the festival: visitors can expect numerous master classes and unique products at the fair of folk crafts on the "Square of Regions", outdoor games for the whole family ("Children's Fun"), an exhibition and sale of national clothing and accessories ("Fashion Row - Fair"), a fashion show of ethno-collections from Russian designers ("Fashion Row - Runway") and much more.
For residents from the regions will be organized online broadcasting of the brightest events of the "Russian Field" on the official website, pages VKontakte and Odnoklassniki, as well as on the portal Culture.rf.
The competitive part of the festival will be divided into two days. On August 8 in the concert hall will perform finalists in the categories: "Best Choral Group", "Best Choreographic Group", "Best Vocal and Choreographic Group", "Best Folk Ensemble". The event will be held in closed mode, however, will be available for viewing online from anywhere in the world.
