GAC introduced a new version of GS8 crossover in Russia

GAC has introduced a special version of the large crossover GS8 in Russia, which is called GX Traveller. The new maximum configuration is designed for fans of auto touring and long-distance travel, says the Chinese manufacturer, which was received by Izvestia on February 20. Prices and sales start dates have not been announced yet.

GS8 GX Traveller externally is characterized by a redesigned exterior with a special off-road dodger, new front end styling and an additional cargo box on the fifth door. LED front fog lights are installed, as well as 20-inch alloy wheels in a special design.

The powertrain is unchanged. The GAC GS8 GX Traveller is powered by a two-liter turbo engine with an output of 231 hp (380 Nm), which works with an 8-speed Aisin automatic transmission. The all-wheel drive system is based on Borg Warner electromagnetic clutch.

The list of equipment also includes leather upholstery, heated windshield, panoramic roof, seven airbags, a system of circular vision, adaptive cruise control, audio system Alpine and other options. The front seats of the GX Traveller, unlike the regular GS8, have a ventilation function.

Now GAC GS8 is sold in Russia in four configurations and costs from 4 million to 4.75 million rubles.
