From April 3 to 6, Gostiny Dvor will host the Art Russia contemporary art fair, which will be the first large-scale event in the field of contemporary art this year. For the sixth time already, one of the capital's main cultural events is organized by Synergy Corporation together with art historian Elizaveta Frolova.

This season the fair will present more than 200 galleries and artists, as well as new special projects. One of them will be the "Cultural Diplomacy" initiative, which will organize an international lounge for discussions between foreign statesmen, as well as present art pavilions of friendly countries such as Iran.

"For six years, the fair has become one of the largest expositions of contemporary art in Russia, with more than 45,000 people visiting us every year. "Art Russia" is designed to strengthen cultural ties with other countries and promote the development of art business in our country: this time among the exhibitors will be represented artists from friendly countries," - said the president of Synergy Corporation Vadim Lobov.

Another expected project this year will be a children's area with a new theme "The Art of Feeling: Journey to the World of Emotions!". Thus, young creators will be able to stand on the same stage as established artists and present their works to thousands of visitors. In addition to the children's stand, the track program includes an expert table where invited artists, art consultants and art critics will share their experience in the world of art and provide children with professional advice.

The fair will traditionally host an art forum of the same name. This year the program has been expanded: an important role will still be given to the discussion of art and art business, but there will also be new topics devoted to interdisciplinary areas. Specialists in psychology, economics, neurobiology, law and physics will talk about the relationship between art and science and other spheres of knowledge, as well as explain the role of art in the modern world.

Among the key speakers of the forum are multidisciplinary artist Farid Rasulov; interdisciplinary media artist Dmitry Masaidov; Ekaterina Fominikh-Kapitsa, a member of the Presidium, chairperson of the Creative Industries section of the Creative Union of Artists of Russia; psychotherapist, Ph, Igor Lazarev; Ekaterina Belyaeva, head of the first Moscow program "Technological Art" at MISIS; Dmitry Soshnikov, Ph.D.-M.Sc., associate professor at MAI, National Research University Higher School of Economics, MIREA and RUT MIIT.

Another important event of Art Russia is the opening of the pavilion where the fall fair of academic art will be announced. The new project will be a platform to showcase cultural heritage and give artists who create works in this manner the opportunity to display their works to a wide audience.

"Russia has one of the strongest schools of academic art, and we have always been famous for our talented authors working in this direction. Our mission is to continue nurturing masters of academic art. We strive to give them the opportunity to fully exhibit their work at major events, receive feedback and attract new collectors. The Academic Art Fair will contribute to the development of artistic traditions and unite talents from different regions of the country," said curator Elizaveta Frolova.

Under the auspices of the fair will also begin its work community for artists Art Russia Community, which was created for the development of independent authors and building a dialog with representatives of private, public and international institutions.

Everyone will be able to visit the Art Russia Fair.
