REN TV channel and artist Pyotr Sklyar launched a joint campaign for February 23. A series of on-air spots based on the graphic book "Slovografika ZOV" tells about the participants and heroes of the SVO.
Semyon Eryomin, a military correspondent of REN TV and Izvestia IEC, became one of the heroes of the book "ZOV Slovografika". One of the best war correspondents of the country shot his reports at different sites of ZOV - in Mariupol and Maryinka, at Azovstal and in liberated Volnovakha, where the journalist was among the first to enter with Russian attack aircrafts. Yeremin did not return from another journalistic assignment in the Zaporizhzhya region: Ukrainian militants staged a hunt for his camera crew's car, attacking it twice with FPV drones.
"Slovografika ZOV" is a new project by the artist Pyotr Sklyar, founder of the "Slovografika" project, co-author of the educational project "Meaningful Reading", son of the leader of the legendary rock band "Va-BankЪ" Alexander F. Sklyar.
Peter Sklyar, artist, author of the project "Slovografika":
"With this book, started in the first months of the SWO and the result of almost three years of work, I want to pay tribute to the daily feat of tens and hundreds of thousands of people, our compatriots, who at the decisive moment stood up in defense of the Motherland. To all those who proved their love and devotion to the Fatherland not by words, but by deeds".
The project "Slovografika" began in 2014 with the comprehension of Russian proverbs and sayings in the original graphic vector style and gave rise to a fashionable trend among young people. The beginning of the new book - "Slovografika ZOV" - is a graphic work dedicated to the Russian paratrooper Alexey Khomyakov. It is to him belongs the phrase that has become winged: "I love my homeland, I shoot well, I'm well fed, I don't want to go on vacation. Glory to the Airborne Troops!". Staff Sergeant Alexey Khomyakov heroically died defending Donbass.
On the cover of the book is a portrait of the legendary pilot, Hero of Russia, Major-General Kanamat Botashev. The pilot at ultra-low altitude in the LNR ensured the exit of the Russian assault group from the fire bag when his Su-25 was shot down by a Ukrainian missile.
The book presents 60 heroes - dead and survivors, whose exploits became known or remained in the shadows. The author of the book knows many of them personally. Each picture is accompanied by a reference about the hero - about his life and exploits, as well as his quote or accurately characterizing his winged expression. The phrases have been translated into eight languages: English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Chinese, Korean and Arabic. Thanks to this, the heroic words of our fighters and commanders will be heard and understood in all countries and on all continents.
