Geely announced prices for the EX5 electric crossover in Russia

The new crossover Geely EX5, the first all-electric model in the brand's lineup in Russia, will cost from 4.1 million rubles in the basic configuration and from 4.4 million rubles - in the second and maximum. This is stated in the company's message, which was received by Izvestia on February 20.

Geely promised a warranty on the crossover for 6 years or 150 thousand kilometers of mileage (depending on what comes first), and on the traction battery - 8 years or 150 thousand kilometers of mileage.

The length of the EX5 crossover is 4615 mm with a wheelbase of 2750 mm, ground clearance - 173 mm. The electric motor develops 218 hp, front-wheel drive. With a weight of 1840 kg, the car is able to accelerate to 100 km/h in 6.9 seconds. Time of fast charging of the battery with constant current from 10 to 80% in Geely EX5 is 28 minutes, and the total battery life is equivalent to 1 million kilometers of mileage or 3.5 thousand charging cycles.

The basic equipment includes 18-inch wheels, diode optics, 15.4-inch central display with a function of smartphone screen duplication and Bluetooth support, 10.2-inch digital dashboard, single-zone climate control, cruise control, a system of round-view cameras, rear parking sensors, audio system with six speakers, including heated all seats and steering wheel winter package.

In the top configuration EX5 has 19-inch disks, panoramic roof with sunroof, adaptive cruise control, improved seats, audio system with 16 speakers, projection display, front parking sensors, a set of systems ADAS and other options.

The day before it was reported that the company "Rex Motors" plans to begin assembly of KGM cars at the plant "Avtotor" in the Kaliningrad region. The start of car production is scheduled for the fall of 2025. The cars will go on sale in March, they are produced in South Korea, five-year support in the Russian market is promised. SsangYong cars were sold in Russia since the mid-1990s, in 2018 the brand officially left the market. The company's return to Russia was announced in early November 2024.
