Actor from "Streets of Broken Lights" Kosarev died in St. Petersburg

Russian actor Gennady Kosarev, known for his roles in the TV series "Streets of Broken Lights", "Liteiny" and "Agent of Special Purpose", died at the age of 64. This February 20 in the social network "VKontakte" reported the Youth Theater on the Fontanka, where the artist served.

According to the theater, the actor died on February 19 after a long illness.

"Fighting a serious illness, he continued to go on stage - could not let down the audience and colleagues. Even a week ago, he played in the play "Josephine and Napoleon" ... his last performance", - added in the message.

About the date and place of farewell to the artist has not yet been reported.

Kosarev graduated from GITIS and entered the Mayakovsky Theater in Moscow, where he served for 11 years and performed more than 10 roles. After he moved to St. Petersburg, where he connected his career with the Youth Theater. The actor served the theater on the Fontanka for more than 30 years, and also participated in more than 40 film projects.
