The FSB detained a Sochi resident for preparing a sabotage attack


Law enforcers have detained a Sochi resident who was preparing a sabotage on behalf of an armed formation of Ukraine, which is recognized as a terrorist organization on the territory of the Russian Federation. This was reported in the Public Relations Center (PRC) of the Federal Security Service (FSB) of Russia on February 20.
According to investigators, the 45-year-old man contacted representatives of the Ukrainian organization in the messenger Telegram. On the instructions of his handler, he made three incendiary devices, which he planned to use to set fire to electrical equipment on the railroad.
"The suspect was arrested red-handed by officers of the Federal Security Service of Russia in the Krasnodar region. Victims, fire and property damage to the object of transport infrastructure is not allowed", - noted in the press service of the department.
It is specified that a criminal case was initiated against the man under part 1 of article 30, part. 1 Art. 281 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Preparing to commit sabotage").
Earlier, on January 30, it was reported that in the Moscow region detained a Russian who committed a series of sabotage on behalf of the Ukrainian security services. A criminal case was opened against the detainee under part 2 of Article 281 ("Sabotage") of the Russian Criminal Code.
