In Sri Lanka, a Russian tourist died trying to take selfies while the train was moving. This is reported by Ada Derana on February 19.

"A Russian tourist traveling on a train <...> going from Badulla to Colombo Fort, died after falling out of the train, presumably while trying to take selfies," - stated in the message.

It is specified that the deceased arrived in Sri Lanka from Russia with a group of 12 tourists.

According to the investigation, the Russian woman in an attempt to take selfies leaned out of the train carriage and snapped. She died of her injuries.

Earlier, on February 9, the body of a Russian missing on January 31 was found in Abkhazia. It was specified that the body was found near the 35th km of the Ritsinsky gorge. According to preliminary data, the man could have fallen off a cliff.
