The Ministry of Agriculture denied the exclusion of flour millers from the program of preferential leasing

Information disseminated in the media about the exclusion of enterprises of the flour and poultry industry from the mechanism of preferential lending to the agro-industrial complex (AIC) does not correspond to reality, the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture reported on February 20.

"The enterprises of the industry have access to a set of measures of state support. Within the framework of preferential lending, including export lending, there are short-term loans for up to a year for the purchase of grain and investment loans for a period of two to eight years. There is also an opportunity to purchase a wide range of equipment and vehicles in preferential leasing," the ministry emphasized.

They also noted that for compensation to organizations, including the flour and cereal industry, part of the cost of transportation of agricultural and food products for export for the current year allocated funds in the amount of 5 billion rubles. This mechanism promotes the development of the industry and provides support to enterprises, the Ministry of Agriculture believes.

"To receive subsidies to compensate for part of the transportation costs incurred when making deliveries in the III and IV quarters of the year preceding the current fiscal year, in the I and II quarters of the current fiscal year it is necessary to send to the REC JSC an application in electronic form using the information system "One Window"." For its part, the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia will continue to support producers of flour-milling and other products of the agro-industrial complex", - stated in the message of the Ministry.

Earlier, on February 18, Agriculture Minister Oksana Lut at the plenary session of the III International Global Grain and Pulses Forum 2025 said that Russia has started work on the creation of a BRICS grain exchange.
