Media reported on Trump's plans to dismantle the U.S. Institute of Peace

US President Donald Trump has targeted the US Institute of Peace and other federal agencies. This was reported by Axios on February 19.
According to administration officials, the president plans to sign an executive order to eliminate or drastically reduce several federal advisory committees.
It is specified that the executive order, which the president plans to sign aboard Air Force One, will target organizations such as the U.S. Institute of Peace and the Inter-American Foundation.
In addition, the portal informed that Trump will require his cabinet to purge departments and submit a list of additional committees and boards to be terminated within 30 days.
Earlier on January 25, AP reported on loyalty checks on employees who want to work under Trump. The vetters appear to be looking for even the slightest discrepancies between the candidates' positions and the new administration's policies. Prior to that, on Jan. 21, Trump signed an executive order that prohibits officials from adopting new regulations until his administration establishes "complete control" of the federal government.
