US President Donald Trump on February 19, during his speech at the FII Priority Entrepreneurs Summit in Florida, speaking about his desire to end the conflict in Ukraine, expressed hope that his main legacy would be the achievement of peace.

He said he believes in resolving the Ukrainian conflict in a year, otherwise an armed clash could be a precursor to World War III.

"World War III is in no one's interest, and [former US President Joe] Biden's course of action could lead to it within a year," Trump said.

Talks between the Russian and American delegations on Feb. 18 in Riyadh lasted 4.5 hours. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov praised the meeting, while US President Donald Trump also praised them. According to him, the sides "not just listened, but heard each other." At the talks, the sides confirmed their common mood for the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine, for which special negotiating teams will be organized.
