Western countries are not showing a constructive approach to the issues of restoring the Iranian nuclear deal, and the US attitude towards Iran has noticeably hardened. Russian Ambassador to the Islamic Republic Alexei Dedov told Izvestia.

"As for the Iran nuclear deal, in my opinion, there is still a lot of work to be done here. Western countries are still very seriously opposing the normalization of relations with Iran in this sphere and do not show any constructive approach," the diplomat said.

On February 10, US President Donald Trump said that stopping Tehran's nuclear program could be done either by strikes or by signing an agreement. The American leader added that he would like to make a deal with the Islamic republic without resorting to military means.

"We can now see the dynamics of the US attitude towards Iran, which is known to have hardened noticeably, so it is difficult to predict anything about the prospect of this particular aspect for now," the ambassador added.
