The closing ceremony of the festival "Cinema in the Service of the Fatherland" took place in Moscow

The closing ceremony of the III International Mobile Festival "Cinema in the Service of the Fatherland" took place in Moscow on February 19.

Awards to the authors of honest films about the exploits of Russian soldiers were presented by the first deputy head of the presidential administration of Russia, Sergei Kirienko.

According to him, the work of documentary filmmakers at the front is not only art.

"It is, first of all, the truth. There is no more powerful and more important weapon for us than the truth. And the second is the main sense of belonging. Because it is very important for us that every person in our country is involved in what the guys on the front line are doing today," he commented.

The festival participants presented Kirenko with an icon of St. Seraphim of Sarov as the head of the foundation of the same name.

Director Olesya Shigina reported on February 14 that the Kremlin Palace will host the closing of the festival "Cinema in the service of the Fatherland". The festival, entirely dedicated to the Special Military Operation (SMO), was held from February 16 to 19.

The festival is a large diversified platform, which through film, music and painting tells and shows the audience both incredible feats and labor achievements of the people for the prosperity of Russia.
