The Russian Embassy in Oslo has sent a request to the local police amid warnings from Russia's Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) about possible terrorist actions by Kiev against Russian diplomatic missions, the diplomatic mission said on February 19.

"A corresponding request has been sent to the Norwegian police," the press service told RIA Novosti.

Earlier in the day, the Russian Embassy in Sweden said security measures had been stepped up following reports of possible terrorist attacks by Ukraine to disrupt peace talks on the conflict.

On February 19, the SVR warned that Kiev might carry out a series of terrorist attacks against Russian diplomatic missions in the European Union (EU) to disrupt negotiations on the conflict settlement. The agency specified that Ukraine was most likely to try to carry out such actions in Germany, the Baltic States and Scandinavia.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on February 18 that Kiev would not accept any results of the negotiations between Russia and the USA on the conflict settlement. According to him, this is impossible without the participation of representatives of Ukraine and the EU.

In his turn, the deputy chairman of the Russian Security Council, Dmitriy Medvedev, warned that the head of the Kiev regime would go for any provocations for the sake of disrupting the talks. The behavior of the cornered Zelensky cannot be predicted now, he added.
