A new fraudulent scheme has appeared in Moscow, attackers call children on behalf of the school administration to confirm access to the electronic journal. This was reported in the Telegram-channel of the capital's Department of Education on February 19.

"Fraudsters trick out the code-password from SMS and get access to the student's account to access the MESH account or the mos.ru portal," - stated in the message.

The agency reminded that school administrations never request personal data of students, and urged in case of receipt of such calls to stop talking.

Earlier, on February 15, the Russian government submitted to the State Duma a bill to protect Russians from telephone and Internet fraudsters. It envisages the introduction of mandatory labeling of calls so that people understand who is trying to contact them. Also, Russians will be able to refuse advertising calls and spam mailings and prohibit incoming international calls.
