- "Izvestia and MAER launched a large-scale media project for the Great Victory Day

As early as February 19, residents of Russia's major cities will be able to see on large screens some of the thematic materials dedicated to the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. Every day on the media facades will appear photos of today's veterans and quotes from their stories, 3D models of the legendary weapons of Victory, symbolizing the power and strength of the Soviet army.
In addition, the digital surfaces will show photos from the publication's military archive animated with the help of artificial intelligence. An important part of the project will be the broadcasting of information materials "Victory Days", which will tell about the key events that brought the Great Victory closer.
The special project of Izvestia and MAER media holding will run until May 11, covering more than 24.7 million people across Russia.
The campaign will take place on digital screens in the largest cities of the country - Moscow, St. Petersburg, Vladivostok, Khabarovsk, Kazan, Voronezh, Krasnodar, Anapa, Tyumen, Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Kemerovo, Orenburg, Omsk, Samara, Volgograd, Chelyabinsk and others.
"This is an important project for Izvestia, as it fully reflects the concept of our media activity, as we are a multimedia information center. And this project allowed us to fully realize all our capabilities. The history of Izvestia is very firmly connected with the history of our country and, in particular, with the period of the Great Patriotic War. Izvestia's photographers and cartoonists have become part of the history of the Great Patriotic War. Let me remind you that the citizens of the Soviet Union learned about the victory and the main battles mainly from two newspapers: Pravda and Izvestia. Therefore, archive photos were revitalized with the help of modern technology. As for military equipment, we have been using these technologies for a long time. All the materials will be available not only on media facades or on the Izvestia TV channel, but also on smartphone screens or on computers," said Vladimir Tyulin, General Director of Izvestia IEC.
"Together with Izvestia IEC we have launched a large historical project "Victory Days". In Moscow, St. Petersburg and in two dozen other cities we have started broadcasting informational clips. We will show and tell about the world-famous T-34 tank and Katyusha, Il-2 airplane, Kirov cruiser and the gun that hit all kinds of German tanks. Residents of major Russian cities will see archival photos of war correspondents - in the lens of the Great Victory! But the most valuable thing in this project is the live testimonies of veterans of the Great Patriotic War - our living history, portraits of veterans. A total of about 25 million people will see the "Victory Days" project in 80 days. For this project we have allocated a record amount of airtime, which will provide 1 billion views", - emphasized the owner and CEO of MAER media holding Konstantin Major.
Izvestia's interactive virtual museum called "The Great Victory" will be available to everyone from March 31, 2025.
This year the whole country celebrates the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. In addition, in memory of all the heroes of different eras, this year was declared by the President of the Russian Federation as the Year of the Defender of the Fatherland.
The large-scale media project of Izvestia and MAER will recognize the merits of veterans, emphasize the significance of the Victory for all mankind and remind about the importance of historical events that shaped the modern world. Thanks to this large-scale special project, millions of Russians will be able to see fragments of the virtual exposition and touch the history of the Great Patriotic War. After all, all generations should remember the heroism and selflessness of the Soviet people who defended the world in a brutal struggle.
