The BCOP proposed to conduct open testing of IT equipment during import substitution

When introducing domestic IT equipment within the framework of import substitution, it is advisable to conduct its open testing. This was stated by Peter Fradkov, Chairman of PSB Bank, speaking at the plenary session "Cyber Resilience of the Financial Market in the Era of Import Substitution" held as part of the Urals Forum "Cyber Security in Finance".

"Thanks to the established cooperation with banks and IT companies, we have accelerated the process of software import substitution through the formation of industry testing grounds in financial organizations, which in real conditions tested the implemented domestic solutions. And if we are talking about the complex topic of equipment import substitution, it also makes sense to conduct open testing of equipment, as it happened in some aspects when replacing software", - said Petr Fradkov.

As an example of effective joint work of market participants, Petr Fradkov cited the industrial competence center "Finance", which brings together, among others, the largest organizations of the financial sector. Thanks to the joint work of the center's participants, import substitution in the financial sector during 2024 was accelerated in a number of areas. Petr Fradkov also noted that a separate area of work on which the BCOP plans to focus in the near future will be testing of security systems to further improve the stability of internal systems and customer protection.
