Latvia blocked access to the Donetsk News Agency website

The official website of the Donetsk News Agency and a number of regional Russian mass media are no longer available to Latvians. The decision was made by Latvia's National Council for Electronic Media, the Delfi online edition reports.
"From now on, the content of www.vm.ru, www.gorod55.ru, www.cheltoday.ru, www.cheltoday.ru, www.tvspb.ru, www.moika78.ru, www.murman.tv, www.kprf.ru, www.tvkrasnodar.ru and www.dan-news.ru will no longer be available in Latvia. According to the assessment of the content of the portals, it contradicts the security interests of the Latvian information space and national security," the statement reads.
According to the Latvian National Council, the information on the sites is directed "against the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Latvia."
"We urge the residents of Latvia to use available technical means of bypassing blocking to access the materials of the DAN website, objectively reflecting the situation in Donbass and Russia's role in regional and global events", - stated in the response to the DAN editorial board.
At the end of last year, Izvestiya's Telegram channel was blocked in a number of European countries.
