FSB officers detained two members of the terrorist organization "Islamic State" (IS, ISIL, the organization is recognized as a terrorist organization and is banned in Russia) in Ingushetia. A source in the law enforcement agencies told Izvestia on February 19.

According to the source, the detained 25-year-old Azamat G. and 29-year-old Zurab D. underwent religious training abroad, where they fell under the influence of radical ideologists.

It is specified that upon their return to the Russian Federation they swore an oath to ISIS, foreign curators planned to use the figures in terrorist activities.

February 5, the Center for Public Information (CPI) of the FSB reported on the suppression of the cell of the Islamist organization "Hizb ut-Tahrir al-Islami" (recognized as a terrorist organization and banned in Russia) in Crimea. The FSB officers seized a large number of propaganda materials, means of communication and electronic media from the detainees. Criminal cases were initiated against the defendants.
