Nutrition is an important evolutionary tool in the body that affects a person's mood. At the same time, sweet improves mood. About this nutritionist, nutriciologist Roman Pristansky told on Wednesday, February 19.

"There is a physiological human need for food, and by eating, our body temperature rises a little, our mood improves. This process is called thermogenesis - nutrients begin to be digested and reach the necessary organs, and there are already released hormones," - explained the doctor in conversation with "Radio 1".

According to the expert, more fatty, more saturated with carbohydrates food is always perceived as something tasty. Sweet improves mood and normalizes blood pressure.

"But this process happens faster than with the digestion of ordinary food. Since it contains glucose and different types of sugars, which begin to be digested already on the tongue, and the satiety hormone, dopamine, i.e. joy, is released faster," explained Pristansky.

At the same time, nutriciologist emphasized that in the case of sugar is formed addiction, which can play a cruel joke on a person. Therefore, it is worthwhile to correctly distribute the products consumed and do not forget about the activity during the day.
