The scheme of the Moscow Metro and the Moscow Central Ring (MCC) in Arabic is already ready. This was announced by Maxim Liksutov, the capital's Deputy Mayor for Transport and Industry, in an interview with RT on February 19.

"We tried to display everything correctly, based on the names, based on special terms that are used in transportation. We hope that [the scheme] will help to navigate well on transportation," Liksutov added.

All station names and terminology have been translated. It is noted that it will help to orient in the city to the guests of the capital, who speak only Arabic. A QR code will be placed at the map, allowing to download it to a smartphone.

On January 10 the mayor of Moscow Sergey Sobyanin said that about 40 new metro stations will be built in the capital by 2030. It was specified that eight of them were opened for passengers in 2024: the Troitskaya line appeared on the map of the capital subway, and one more station appeared on the Sokolnicheskaya branch. In addition, the construction of the Rublevo-Arkhangelskaya subway line will continue. The first stations are planned to open in 2026. Also experts are engaged in designing of the future Biryulevskaya branch. There should be ten stations on it.
