Russia is concerned about the growing spread of neo-Nazism and discrimination, especially in Ukraine, the European Union (EU) and Canada. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said this during a government hour in the State Duma on February 19.

"The unbridled growth of such manifestations in the territories controlled by the Kiev regime, in the Baltic states and a number of other EU countries, in Canada, where a multi-million diaspora of Hitler's collaborators has settled," the minister said.

He pointed out that Moscow will constantly pay attention to the joint work of different countries in the fight against neo-Nazism, Russophobia and other forms of racial and religious hatred.

Earlier, on January 27, Russian Ambassador to the UN Vasily Nebenzya said that Russia had sent a letter to the Secretary General of this international organization Antonio Guterres, where it listed the facts of glorification of Nazism. The Russian representative specified that for Moscow the memory of all victims of Nazism is sacred, and preserving the truth about the Holocaust and other Nazi crimes is a common duty.
