Four Ukrainian militants convicted of terrorist attacks in Kursk region

A Russian court has sentenced four militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) for terrorist attacks in Kursk Region. This is reported by the investigative department of the Investigative Committee of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the region in its Telegram channel on February 19.

"The evidence <...> is recognized by the court as sufficient for sentencing servicemen of the 22 separate mechanized brigade of the AFU Sergei Bochenko, Valery Malchenko, Sergei Litvinenko and Sergei Bilichenko," the statement reads.

It is specified that the men, armed with firearms, intimidated local residents, occupied houses and repeatedly opened fire on Russian servicemen and civilians. Later they were detained by Russian servicemen.

It is noted that Bochenko and Malchenko were sentenced to 15 years in prison, Litvinenko and Bilichenko to 16 years.

Earlier on February 13, the press service of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation reported about the court verdict against the military of the 22nd separate mechanized brigade of the AFU Anton Furdalenko, Sergey Zavatsky, Vasily Taran and Ruslan Savvakis for crimes committed in Kursk region.
