Russia and China continue to strengthen cooperation in the field of culture and cinematography. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said this on February 19, stressing that the joint Russian-Chinese film "Red Silk" will be released soon.
"This is the result of an agreement during one of the previous meetings between President [Russian President Vladimir] Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping to establish systemic joint cooperation in the sphere of cinematography as well. There are a lot of interesting plans there. In general, humanitarian issues, concert activities, cultural exchanges - all this enriches and puts these relations on a very solid foundation," the minister said at the government hour in the State Duma.
The Minister also emphasized that cooperation between Russia and China goes far beyond the traditional partnership and covers a wide range of areas, including economics, logistics and humanitarian sphere.
On the eve of the Moscow premiere of the Russian-Chinese detective film "Red Silk" directed by Andrei Volgin. Action motion picture unfolds in 1927 in China, where there are mass murders of communists. In this case, secret documents on the leaders of the Chinese Communist Party, survivors, must be urgently sent to Moscow.
Before that, on January 30, Nota Bene Film Group, distributor NMG Kinoprokat and Art Pictures Distribution (part of the holding company "National Media Group"), presented the final trailer of detective action film "Red Silk". In work on the picture took part famous actors of Russian cinema - Milos Bikovich, Gleb Kalyuzhny, Elena Podkaminskaya, Yaroslav Mogilnikov, Gosha Kutsenko, Dmitry Kulichkov and Irina Alferova.
