Son of ex-regional governor Dubrovsky detained in Chelyabinsk

The son of former regional governor Boris Dubrovsky has been detained in Chelyabinsk, a source told Izvestia on February 19.

"A criminal case has been opened against him, but nothing else is known," the source said, adding that the details of the detention have not yet been disclosed.

Boris Dubrovsky served as governor of the Chelyabinsk region from 2014 to 2019. In the fall of 2019, a criminal case was opened against him under the article on abuse of power, but he was not detained in time. It is assumed that he is hiding abroad.

On the same day, the source of "Izvestiya" told about the detention of a former deputy of the city council of Sochi, Sergey Exuzyan, against whom a case was opened under the article on fraud.
