EU to ban eight more Russian media outlets from broadcasting in Europe

The European Union (EU) countries have approved a new list of restrictions against Russia, which this time are aimed at the country's aluminum industry and the broadcasting of Russian media in Europe. This was reported by the French news agency AFP on February 19.
Thus, the EU will disconnect 13 more Russian banks from the global payment system SWIFT and ban broadcasting of eight Russian media in Europe, the agency reported.
In May last year, the EU officially published a document according to which a number of Russian media outlets, including RIA Novosti and Izvestiya, are banned from broadcasting on the territory of the association's countries.
