The government has approved quotas for admission to target training in higher educational institutions (HEIs) for this year. This is reported on February 19 in Telegram-channel kambin.
"Quotas for the next academic year are formed on 838 training directions and scientific specialties. For 77 of them the number of target seats has been increased compared to last year," - stated in the statement.
It is specified that the majority of budgetary places in medical universities will remain targeted, as it will give employment guarantees to graduates.
Also large quotas allocated for specialists in the design of aircraft and rocket engines, operation of railroads and systems to ensure the movement of trains. In addition, such places will go to those who will be trained in aircraft and shipbuilding.
The government added that scientific specialties remained at the level of 35% of target seats. This is due to the need to increase the number of young researchers.
Earlier, on February 7, it became known that students of medical universities, studying on a budgetary basis, will be able to choose the region and place of work for compulsory workout. It is specified that the period of compulsory employment will be three years. According to the agency, if a budget or target student does not work this time, he will face a fine of double the amount of training costs.
