AFU prisoner told about an unsuccessful experience of desertion

A captured serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), Mykhaylo Prots from the 25th separate assault brigade, has admitted that he was forcibly mobilized and deserted at the first opportunity. A video of him was released by the Russian Defense Ministry on 19 February.
According to the military officer, Ukraine is conducting mass mobilization with forced delivery to military enlistment offices. Prior to the special operation, Prots worked at enterprises of the military-industrial complex, including the Odessa aircraft plant. After mobilization, he deserted without returning from leave.
"For almost two years he hid at home, for some time he did not work - he lived on the means that he had, then he got an unofficial job not far from himself. In October 24th I was walking home to my parents, I was caught by the police, they checked my documents and sent me to the TCC," he said.
Next, the deserter was sent to "storm the landings" in the Kursk region. The military officer noted the poor planning of combat operations by the AFU command, as well as the large number of wounded and surrendered prisoners. Prots himself surrendered as a prisoner of war to servicemen of the "North" group of forces. He pointed to the professionalism of the Russian servicemen and decent treatment of the captives.
"They treat me in a human way: they feed and feed me, provide me with medical care. I have problems with my spine," the prisoner of war concluded.
On February 13, Valentin Makarenko, an AFU prisoner of war, admitted that he had paid $2,000 to a military financier in order to get into the border troops rather than to be on the front line. However, despite the paid place, he ended up in Kursk Region, where he surrendered.
