Medvedev compared Zelensky to a cornered rat

The deputy chairman of the Russian Security Council, Dmitriy Medvedev, has compared Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy (his term of office expired on May 20, 2024) to a cornered rat, noting that any provocation to disrupt the settlement can be expected from him. He published the corresponding opinion on February 19 in the social network "VKontakte".
"The rat is cornered. Her behavior can be absolutely unpredictable. She frantically scurries, squeaks frantically and, as a rule, in such cases, eventually rushes into a counterattack. Therefore, from a shaking rodent with running eyes you can expect any provocation to disrupt the settlement and to continue the conflict to the last Ukrainian," he wrote.
According to him, Zelensky can use all means, up to strikes on Ukrainian cities and citizens and the use of weapons of mass destruction, in order to urgently move the shooters away from himself. At the same time, the problem can be solved by urgent deratization, Medvedev added.
Earlier, on February 18, Zelensky said that Kiev would not accept any results of the talks between Russia and the United States, as no representative of the Ukrainian side was present at the meeting. In addition, Kiev's allies expressed concern as they too were being sidelined.
On the same day, Trump said there was no reporting of money on the Ukrainian conflict.
In early February, Zelensky said in an interview with the Associated Press that he had no idea where the $200 billion allocated by the United States for military aid had gone. According to him, Kiev only received more than $75bn from Washington.
