Production of KGM cars will start in Russia in the fall

Rex Motors, a distributor of South Korean brand KGM (former SsangYong), plans to start assembling cars at the Avtotor plant in the Kaliningrad Region. The start of car production is scheduled for the fall of 2025. This was announced by Vitaly Osipov, CEO of Rex Motors, Izvestia correspondent reports on February 19 from the brand's press conference in Russia.

KGM enters the Russian market with four models: crossovers Tivoli, Korando, Torres, as well as SUV Rexton. Sales of the first three models will start in Russia in early March, and the company has already received the Vehicle Type Approval (VTA) for these crossovers. Ram Rexton is planned to go on sale in the fall.
