A worker died in the Saratov region due to a chemical release

In the Saratov region, an employee died and another one was injured at the enterprise when a chemically hazardous substance was released. This was reported on February 19 by the investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in the region in Telegram-channel.

"Investigators of the IC is conducting an investigative inspection on the fact of death and injury of citizens in one of the organizations in Balakovo district", - stated in the statement.

It is noted that based on the results of the check will be taken the appropriate procedural decision. According to the source of "Izvestia", there could have been an ammonia leak at the enterprise.

"In the shop of phosphate fertilizers there was a leak of ammonia during repair work," - said the interlocutor.

Earlier, in December last year, during the dismantling of a skiing complex in the Moscow region, a worker died. It is specified that the man was injured as a result of the fall of a metal structure on him during the work on dismantling the ski complex. He died in an ambulance.
