Former Sochi City Council deputy detained in fraud case

Law enforcement agencies have detained former Sochi City Council deputy Sergey Exuzyan, a source told Izvestiya on February 19.

According to the source, a case was opened against Exuzyan under the article on fraud.

In 2022, Exuzyan was stripped of his deputy status because he concealed his income and property. In 2023, the Central District Court of Sochi ruled to confiscate 110 million rubles from him, as well as a 1-hectare plot of land and a house.
