The serial production of Haval M6 crossovers has started at the Automobile Technologies plant in the Kaluga Region. At the first stage, the cars are assembled by the large-unit method, in the second half of the year it is planned to start production of crossovers on a full cycle with welding and painting, reports "Rossiyskaya Gazeta" on February 19.

Haval M6 of Kaluga assembly is expected to appear at dealers in March. The reason for assembling the model in Kaluga, rather than at Great Wall's own plant in the Tula region, is the lack of spare capacity.

Until 2022, this Kaluga plant produced Peugeot, Citroen and Mitsubishi models. Now the company "Automobile Technologies" produced only Citroen C5 Aircross from Chinese machine parts. It is assumed that in 2025, 25 thousand Haval cars will roll off the assembly line under contract assembly.

Now Haval M6 in the basic configuration with a turbo 1.5 engine with 143 hp and manual transmission costs Br2.18 million, the version with an automatic will cost at least Br2.3 million.

February 11, it was reported that in 2025 at the former Volkswagen plant in the Kaluga region is planned to produce more than 110 thousand cars. A day earlier, the company "Automotive Technologies" began sales of the crossback Peugeot 408X in Russia. The price of the car starts from 4.7 million rubles.
