A criminal case for abuse of power has been opened against the head of the Yuzhny branch of Roszhilkompleks, subordinate to the Ministry of Defense, Sergey Bgatov. This was reported on February 19 in the Telegram-channel of military investigative bodies of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.

"Military investigative bodies of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation opened a criminal case against the head of the branch "Southern" of the Federal State Agency "Roszhilkompleks" Sergei Bgatov," - stated in the statement.

It is specified that last year the suspect made a subsidy payment for the purchase of housing to a person not subject to housing, causing multi-million dollar damage to the state.

The investigation is ongoing.

Earlier, on February 17, the head of the Ministry of Digital Development was detained in Rostov region for abuse of power. A criminal case under part 3 of article 285 of the Criminal Code of Russia ("Abuse of power") was opened against him. The investigation into the case is ongoing.
