Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy (his term of office expired on May 20, 2024) is ready for any provocation to disrupt the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine. This was reported by the deputy chairman of the Russian Security Council, Dmitriy Medvedev, in the VKontakte social network on 19 February.

According to him, Zelensky will continue this conflict until the last Ukrainian. He also noted that the Ukrainian president is now in a difficult situation, and his behavior can be absolutely "unpredictable."

Medvedev clarified that Zelensky is cornered, as now US leader Donald Trump has started talking about his responsibility for starting the conflict and demanding an account of the money the United States was sending them.

Earlier, on February 18, Zelensky said that Kiev would not accept any results of the negotiations between Russia and the United States, as no representative of the Ukrainian side was present at the meeting. In addition, Kiev's allies expressed concern as they too were being sidelined.

On the same day, Trump said there was no reporting of money on the Ukrainian conflict.

In early February, Zelensky said in an interview with the Associated Press that he had no idea where the $200 billion allocated by the United States for military aid had gone. According to him, Kiev only received more than $75bn from Washington.
