Artillerymen hit AFU fortifications in Malaya Lokna in the border area of Kursk Region

Soldiers of the artillery platoon of the 155th Marine Brigade of the "North" group of troops have been hitting the fortifications of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), assisting attack aircraft in the offensive and pushing out Ukrainian formations in Malaya Lokna, Sujan district, Kursk Region. This was reported by Izvestia correspondent Vladyslav Kharchenko on February 19.
The 2S1 Gvozdika self-propelled artillery unit (SAU) is constantly working on AFU fortifications and personnel in the area of Malaya Lokna, northwest of Suja. After the command was received, the fighters opened fire on the Ukrainian formations' manpower in the neighboring forest belt at a distance of 10-12 km.
"We worked normally, judging by the sight and everything else, the hits were on target. There is a lot of work: we destroy infantry, mortars, machine gun points, work on lightly armored vehicles," commented the loader of the 2S1 Gvozdika SAU with the call sign Shield.
A couple of days earlier, the 155th Brigade's attack aircraft had entrenched themselves near the railroad near Nikolsky farm. The AFU twice made unsuccessful attempts to counterattack.
"In small groups, they come out. But they are coming out where we already know. We are already firing just on the coordinates we shot at. They can't get far," said the commander of the 2S1 "Gvozdika" SAU with the call sign Lyalya.
The encirclement of Suja continues. A few days ago, Sverdlikovo came under the control of the Russian army. The fighters also managed to gain a foothold on the northern outskirts of Guevo.
"We hit them in every possible way. They are trying to climb into Viktorovka, into Nikolskoye. We repel all their attacks. They are simply afraid to come to us, because they realize that they can't compete with the 155th brigade," stressed the commander of the artillery platoon of the 155th Marine Brigade of the "North" group of forces with the call sign Bars.
On February 18, it became known that the AFU lost more than 220 military in the Kursk direction over the day. During the day, Russian troops also destroyed 14 vehicles, three self-propelled artillery units, including two Bogdan SAU, two artillery guns, eight mortars, an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) control point and two ammunition depots.
