Five people injured in Makeyevka after AFU missile attack

Six civilians, including two children, were injured in the town of Makeyevka after another attempt by the Ukrainian armed formations (UFU) to launch a missile attack. This was reported by the head of the Donetsk People's Republic (DNR) Denis Pushilin on February 18.

"Izvestia" published footage of the consequences of the attack.

"After 6 pm, during rush hour, the VFU tried to launch a missile attack on Makeyevka. The attack was repelled by the air defense system, but fragments of downed missiles fell on the territory of the Central City district," Pushilin pointed out in his Telegram channel.

As a result, two girls born in 2014 were wounded, women born in 1979 and 2002 and a man born in 1994 were also injured. Medics are providing them with assistance.

Another person was injured in the detonation of an explosive object near Vasilyevskie stakes in the settlement of Panteleymonovka. This is a man born in 1967.

Pushilin specified that the glazing and facades of residential buildings, several commercial and social facilities, as well as cars were damaged in Makeyevka. In addition, there is damage to two power line facilities in the Central City and Nikitovka districts of Horlivka. In total, the VFU carried out about 10 attacks using artillery of NATO caliber 155 mm and one attack drone.

Earlier, on February 17, the office of regional ombudsman Darya Morozova reported that two people were killed and 42 injured, including seven children, in the DNR during the week as a result of attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).

At the same time, Pushilin said that three civilians, including a teenager, had been injured in the republic during attacks by the AFU over the day. According to him, the injured were provided with qualified medical assistance.
