The summit of European leaders in Paris turned out to be a grand failure for French President Emmanuel Macron. Such a statement and February 18 made the leader of the party "Patriots" Florian Filippo.

"The Elysee summit last night turned out to be a crushing fiasco for Macron! Historic!" - he wrote on the social network X (formerly Twitter).

According to him, France risks losing Poland as its ally amid disagreements over sending troops to Ukraine.

At the same time, Filippo clarified that the French side defends peace while the European Commission (EC), in his words, "pushes for armed conflict."

The summit took place on Monday, February 17. It was attended by the leaders of six European Union (EU) countries, the UK, and NATO and EU officials. The Financial Times reported on February 18 that at the meeting the leaders of the EU member states faced disagreements over sending troops to Ukraine. It is specified that Germany, Italy, Poland and Spain expressed their refusal on this issue.
