The beginning of the current year was abnormally warm for winter in the Moscow region, when residents observed mostly plus air temperatures and the absence of a stable snow cover. This affected the nature of the region. This was reported in the press service of the Ministry of ecology and nature management of the region on Tuesday, February 18.

The agency noted that such weather has an impact on the activity of animal life, for example, some animals that are usually in winter hibernation, show activity uncharacteristic for them at this time of year.

"Reacts to the warm weather and plant life also. Thus, in the Mytishchi urban district the first snowdrops appeared. These fragile flowers prematurely broke through the ground, becoming a symbol of deceptive spring in January", - told in the Ministry of the Moscow region in conversation with "Radio 1".

At the same time, abnormal heat also carries potential danger. For example, not constrained by stable frost ice on water bodies of the region remains fragile. Therefore, it is recommended to exercise extra caution and refrain from going out on the ice of rivers, lakes and ponds.
